Thank you so much for taking charge of your life and visiting this site.
Walt Disney was fired by a newspaper editor for lack of ideas and went bankrupt several times before building Disneyland.
Thomas Edison’s teachers said he was too stupid to learn anything.
Albert Einstein didn't speak until he was four and didn't read until he was seven. A teacher described his as being, "mentally slow, unsociable, and adrift forever in his foolish dreams."
Henry Ford went broke five times before succeeding.
Beethoven held the violin awkwardly and preferred playing his own compositions rather than improving his technique. His teacher described him as, "hopeless as a composer."
Imagine if these men would have allowed negative thoughts and events destroy their dreams. Would we have light? Would we have cars? Would we have Disney? Thankfully, these men replaced the word "try" with "must" and gave us many gifts to enjoy.
I have learned to stop saying, I should have done this or I should have done that. In other words I have learned to stop shoulding all over myself.
We must have a dream in life!
We must have a purpose for wanting that dream. As long as your purpose is not money related and you formulate the purpose to serve others, your friends, your family and the community.
We must set our goals and take the necessary steps to accomplish the goals and then we get closer and closer to accomplishing our dreams and making our dreams a reality.
Remember, “You drive where you focus”. If you are driving a car on a wet road and you see a rabbit cross the road, you slam on your breaks and start to skid. You see a tree; you focus on the tree, where is your car going to go? Most probably you will slide into the tree, because you drive where you focus:-)
Your tomorrow is not a result of fate; it is evidence of what you are doing today. Design your life! Positive thoughts get positive results!
Please try and imagine a little boy you know. Now, imagine this little boy is trapped in a life that is desperate, cold and inescapable. Imagine.... He is a child, whose father survived in a concentration camp during the Holocaust and comes to America with nothing but the shirt on his back.
He is a boy who is faced with overwhelming obstacles in America. He is an immigrant's son who has little chance of receiving an education and having self-dignity. He cannot establish a relationship with his father because he is always working, seven days a week, to provide for the family. His mom does not have the tools to get close to her son either.
He is lonely, has no real love and no friends to help him. He has no refuge. He cannot escape abuse even while he is at school. He often comes home in tears, beaten up.
He is laughed at and so poor, he cannot afford the clothes that other kids wear. He even tries stapling the hem on his pants and coloring the staples with magic marker to have the right length and appearance.
