Today - Letter to Ace's Kids

"Now I am the voice.
I will lead not follow.
I will build not destroy.
I will believe not doubt.
I am a force for good.
I am a leader.
Step up, Set a new standard!.
Step up, step up, step up!"

If I can only ask you to imbed these few words in your mind, I know that you will be well on your way to making all your dreams come true.

I wish I had this information when I was growing up..

You drive where you focus, for example...if you are driving a car on a wet road and you step on the brakes to hard and start to skid....if you look at the tree on the side of the road, there is a good possibility you will drive into the tree...you drive where you focus...it is the same in life.

Don't forget to breath deep a few times a day and get the oxygen flowing in your blood stream.

Remember, If you change your physiology, you will change the way you feel.

Although you cannot control the past, you can control TODAY. Today is about you - your attitude, your behavior, and your actions. Notice these are all present tense.

Today you have the power to affect many lives. For instance, think of the last person that said something hurtful to you. Now, try and remember the amount of times you thought of these words. Chances are you thought of it often, so often that you recall it at this very instant.

Now, try and recall the last positive thing someone said to you. How did this make you feel? Uplifted? Confident? Happy? You probably carried this throughout your day and became more positive with others. A single comment or simple gesture has the power to create happiness in many lives.

You can create this feeling in others in minutes, even seconds. For example, everyday I pass a blind man on the same street corner and put a dollar in his cup. However, today I asked him how long he had been standing on this corner. "Thirty-one years," he replied. For the first time, I saw this man's beautiful smile.

This question, which cost me nothing and took only a few moments, brought feelings of happiness and pride to a man who is unacknowledged by countless people everyday. This is the power that one voice can have. Each day presents opportunities for you to use this power and positively influence others.

In society today, many young adults are sacrificing control of their lives to drugs, alcohol, and negative peer pressures. Ultimately, their minds are becoming controlled by the physical demands of such behaviors, weakening their ability to succeed.

Do not let your mind and body take a back seat to addiction or compulsions - they are your biggest assets. You must exercise control when caring for your body and expand your life expectancy by eating well and exercising. This is an amazing time to be alive.

Today I am so proud to have had my own business called "Ace Ross Studios, Inc." www. aceross.com. I did my absolute best and invested everything I had in it.

The experiences I took away with me are priceless and I am looking forward to applying my knowledge to a company that will I can apply all my knowledge and passion with.

It is ok to make mistakes, we all do it, just don't make the same mistakes twice and you will grow in leaps and bounds.

Living life to the fullest, I have pursued my dreams of traveling, living in France, and performing. Playing the drums in a Rock & Roll band. I had the opportunity to be a recording artist and songwriter. I had the opportunity to be hired as the lead singer in the "CBS' recording act "Ram Jam" I had the opportunity to sing and dance in the starring role of "Berger" for the 20th Anniversary production of Hair and have appeared in Feature Films such as Cell Block Sisters and Uncle.

I have had the chance to be the Founder of two non-profit organization and help with relief efforts in Honduras, Turkey and Fiji. I was awarded for my efforts to get clothing to woman in Afghanistan that eventually opened up a supply route through Uzbekistan and delivered, clothing, food and medical supplies,

I had the chance to personally create The "One Clothing Company" One Heart, One Love, One Life. Under my reign as president I made it my mission to be a force for good in the community.

I am looking forward and really understand the maening of "The cup is half full".

I am sharing my experiences with you so you can role model me or understand that you can role model and mirror successful people to achieve your dreams and goals if you so desire, take it and make it your own. Turn years into months, months into days and days into minutes.

The key word for you TODAY is "outstanding". Good will only give poor results, great will only get good results, but outstanding will give outstanding results. All I ask is that you are an outstanding person who makes a difference in your life and the lives of others. I am so grateful for where I am today and for the opportunity to share my past, present, and dreams of tomorrow with you.

Only YOU have the power over your destiny .. and it all starts TODAY.
