Sherwin also worked the stage door at this time at the" Rock Pile "(Action House). Many defining moments:) In 1972 Sherwin Ross joined "Cynthia Fever" with Jack Starr and Bobby & Shari Zetwok. They loaded up the plane and they moved to to Paris, France. Europe that is:) We lived with Jacks grandma in front of the "Prison De La Roquette" right up the block from the cemetery Pierre la Chaisse. .. We would visit Jim Morrison's Edith Piaf, and Oscar Wilde's resting place, . The bands name was changed to California, we became a signed recording and touring band in France.

Ram Jam 1979, New York City he signed a promotional deal with Chrysalis and the William Morris Agency. As a recording artist, Sherwin had the opportunity to tour internationally, meet people and help in the composition of songs that touched many hearts around the world.
Living in Paris, France for 9 years made a very big impact on the entrepreneurial spirit of Sherwin Ross. While his skills as a saucier, guarde mange, and grill chef were promising, and his role as Berger in the 20th Anniversary tour of "HAiR" was a big hit, it was obvious Ross was destined for more. He had enough of asking his boss for time off to go to an audition, and his Berger hair was getting out of control. Sherwin's recording career and studies at the Lee Strassberg Institution and Stella Adler led to a starring role as "Berger" in the 20th anniversary stage production of the American Tribal Love Rock Musical, "HAiR" . “Sherwin was a truly wonderful Berger - he "got it" in a way many who play the role don't. In fact, when I show tapes of contemporary productions to visitors at the Archives I show Sherwin’s Berger as the definitive one from a post Broadway production”. Nina Dayton, curator of the HAiR® Archives. Gerome Ragni stated "Ross is one of the best Berger's ever to hit the boards."
After the Tout of HAiR, Sherwin went into the clothing business and designed Bell Bottoms out of cotton lycra Leggings in Soho NYC. He started"She's Got Legs" and sold to Macy's as well as running his own retail. In 1996-99 Ace had co-starring roles in a number of television movies, including "Uncle"and "Cell Block Sisters," which ran on HBO, Cinemax and the Movie Channel. His latest film ,"Wild Lands" in which he has a co-star credit playing a real estate developer is airing on on French TV. It's exactly his passion for life, for making a difference in other's lives, and for putting all he's got into whatever he does that epitomizes his approach to his career as an outstanding sales and marketing executive. "It is my outcome to melange all my talents into one focused direction to serve a bigger purpose for all mankind and make a difference." Today Sherwin is "Brand Manager" working with Honorable Michael Butler in HAiR Licensing, LLC to create a licensed clothing and accessories line called "HAiR" promoting global peace, love and understanding. Sherwin is the sales and marketing director for Foundasco-USA. We are a design marketing manufacturing group with factories in The Philippines and sourcing office's in China and India. |
